6 Business Traveling Hacks For Millennials.

Check out what the most millennial business traveler do-while traveling (3rd one is a must-do)

Do you know that business travel is expected to grow to $1.6 trillion in annual spend by 2020 (GBTA)? The number of business travelers worldwide has seen a huge difference now. Business traveling has evolved ever since the advent of the Internet.

The world for corporate travelers has changed since the inception of the internet and digital technological era.

The main difference between the traditional way and now is the information within your hands or we can say technological devices. So here are some traveling hacks that consistent millennial business travelers can follow from my point of view:

1.) Trying to figure out a way to stay healthy:
When you travel a lot for work it’s very easy to not exercise, drink too much and eat crap. While, travel can be hard on your body, and you need to continue to do your job well on the road. Get yourself into a groove of working out in the hotel’s gym and try to establish healthy eating habits. Packing or buying healthy snacks will help you stay well while traveling. Eating local is also a great way to stay healthy. Eat local cuisine because it is a way to learn about the place in a short period of time and is always healthy. I always get the local cuisine for room service. In Russia, I ate the most amazing local raspberries for breakfast every day.
2.) Getting a handy suitcase:

Luggage for business travelers is best when it is handy. A lot of the extra stuff that you brought at the worst time will give you that headache. So make that the luggage you are carrying is convenient and should gain a feeling of being plenty for oneself. Having extra toiletries, chargers, office supplies and business cards already in your bag can save you time each time you travel and should be included in your suitcase.

3.) My important piece of advice is to make the travel-ride personal time:

Don’t try to work on the plane or any transport by that means. For example: Just like the use of Wi-Fi on the plane and mobile phones are told to be switched off during take-off. Keeping work pressure is not always something people should engage in. I use the plane rides as my alone time. I use it to read and use that as a time to invest in myself. I use it to ponder upon and reconsider my life. Review the future plans and I don’t waste any of it all. In fact, it is my favorite part of traveling.

 4.) Right perspective:
When you travel a lot, you tend to fall into the trap of thinking that it’s so cool that you’re a tourist, that you’re in the 3 or 6 million clubs, and you get advanced just by walking into the country. No matter where you travel, be consistent, and harmonious in your behavior. Be the same person everywhere you go. Because being fake can be easily seen out to another person when you are communicating. However, no one will probably judge you in the first impression but we can not say anything on this topic.
5.) Squeeze in sightseeing during a business trip: Millennial business travelers are famous for the fact that they love adding business with leisure i.e Bleisure travel on their business trips. Take advantage of jet lag and wake up early: It's the perfect time to visit temples in Seoul, historical sites in some parts of India to get that perfect Instagram picture, or have coffee and pastries with a view in Paris. Always try to opt for flights that return later or you can also tend to extend for some extra sight-seeing if your company people do not mind. You can leave your bags at the hotel and explore the exotic locales.

6.) Leveraging the power of technology
Thanks to technology, the world is getting smaller and smaller, and yet, sometimes you need to be there in person, that’s why business travel is important. Apps for millennial business travelers are being better than the hit or miss to advanced booking options that have dramatically changed the world of travel. Apps like Expedia, OYO, Tripadvisor, MakeMyTrip, Thomas Cook, and Airbnb for business travelers have been a go-to app for Generation Z. Pro millennial travelers leverage technology to its maximum benefit. By using the right technologies, they take some of the discomforts and stress out of travel. Check out the blog on travel apps for business travelers for more information.

Bonus: It may sound funny but nevermind!
My next piece of advice is to “liberate” (steal) all the shampoos and soaps to take home from your hotel room. While you are on your business trip why should you even think about what anyone has to say! Right? Just like life what you do is your biz and no one else. However, If the hoteliers are reading this sorry for the things we traveler do but it’s worth it at the end! (not even lying) it’s much of your thinking and convenience I don’t recommend you have to do this and put it on your to-do list but you might think about it for some time and choose your decisions wisely.

Conclusion:
Modern business travelers span all age ranges but the largest segment consists of the Millennials business travelers. For Millennials who barely can remember a day without the internet and who became adults during the advent of self-booking tools, online trip agencies, smart apps, and other internet-based channels that their concept of business travel has now shaped the future of travel. Keep in mind that one should also know how to and how we could turn traveling into a business opportunity in this millennial era. However, we should also follow the traditional norms and culture of traveling carried out in the earlier ages but also know that the world for millennial business travelers has been changed forever.

Happy and safe travels!
